Lawrence, 34, showcased her baby bump in a stylish oversized yellow button-up shirt paired with loose-fitting black trousers, while Maroney, 40, opted for a casual look with a white T-shirt and black pants. Photographs from the outing captured the couple engaging in affectionate gestures, including hand-holding and sweet kisses as they strolled through the city.
Earlier in the day, the Oscar-winning actress and her art gallery director husband confirmed their pregnancy in an exclusive announcement to Vogue. The couple, who tied the knot in October 2019, welcomed their son Cy in February 2022 and have maintained a relatively private life when it comes to their family.
In a 2022 Vogue cover story, Lawrence humorously likened her bond with Cy to that of a voodoo doll, expressing that everything affecting him also affects her. “The euphoria of Cy is just— Jesus, it’s impossible,” she shared, emphasizing the depth of her love for her son.
Lawrence has also discussed the challenges of navigating fame while being a mother. In a conversation with Cameron Diaz for Interview Magazine, she reflected on her anxiety regarding paparazzi exposure during her pregnancy. “I was so nervous when I was pregnant,” Lawrence admitted. However, she noted that once Cy was born, her perspective shifted, leading her to adopt a calmer demeanor in public.
“I realized that my energy is more important to him than anything else,” she explained, adding, “I don’t want him to inherit the anxiety and anger that I have.”
