Singer-songwriter Heidi Feek is speaking out against intrusive messages she’s received as her family dispute with her father, Rory Feek, intensifies.
Heidi, along with her sister Hopie, has publicly clashed with Rory over the care of their younger sister, Indiana. On Oct. 15, Heidi shared a photo on her Instagram Stories showing a troubling postcard she received. “If you don’t like me, just unfollow me. Don’t mail this to my home like a psycho,” she wrote. The sender, a former fan, urged her to apologize to Rory, criticizing her role in the family discord.
The rift stems from Rory’s decision to limit Heidi and Hopie’s contact with Indiana, citing their differing beliefs. Heidi has voiced concerns for Indiana’s well-being, criticizing Rory’s choice to raise her in Homestead Heritage, a faith-based community that Heidi claims has a “troubling history” regarding child safety. The community denies these allegations, and in September, filed a defamation lawsuit against Heidi.
In an effort to reconcile, Rory reportedly visited Heidi and Hopie’s Alabama home in September but was met with no response. He left peace lilies on their doorstep, though Heidi later described the unannounced visit as “intimidating” and contrary to the boundaries she had set.
The ongoing legal dispute over access to Indiana remains confidential due to her minor status. As the family battle continues, Heidi remains vocal about the toll it’s taking, urging her followers to respect her privacy.
