Lainey Wilson is set to bring her musical flair to the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day festivities in Arlington, Texas. The 32-year-old country star will perform at The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show during the highly anticipated game against the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium.
In a video announcement shared on Sunday, October 13, Wilson expressed her excitement, stating, “You might know me for my bell-bottoms, but I want to be known for my bell-ringing, too. I am so excited to announce that I have teamed up with The Salvation Army to love beyond the holidays and make a difference in our communities all year round.” She urged fans to tune in on Fox for the special performance, teasing a surprise guest alongside her.
The halftime show not only entertains but also marks the beginning of The Salvation Army’s annual fundraiser, which last year provided support to over 27 million individuals across the United States. With the game’s viewership peaking at 42 million in 2023—thanks in part to Dolly Parton‘s performance—it’s clear Wilson has big shoes to fill.
Charlotte Jones, chief brand officer and co-owner of the Dallas Cowboys, praised Wilson, saying, “Performers like Lainey Wilson represent the next generation of role models for so many. Fans can expect Wilson to showcase tracks from her latest album, Whirlwind, released in August, during the performance. The rising country music sensation has had a busy year, also appearing in her Hulu special Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country, leading her Country’s Cool Again Tour, and launching a jewelry collection with Kendra Scott. Additionally, she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in June and is set to co-host the 58th Annual CMA Awards alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning in November.
