Mötley Crüe made a memorable arrival at their Hollywood concert, diving out of a garbage truck, setting the stage for their ongoing Höllywood Takeöver tour. The tour, which kicked off on October 7 at The Troubadour, features the legendary rock band performing at select small venues across Los Angeles.
In a humorous video shared on YouTube, the iconic group—comprising Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, and John 5—pulled up to The Troubadour in the unconventional vehicle. As the truck parked, a heap of garbage bags, a mattress, and other items were tossed out of the back. Lee, 62, was the first to leap from the truck into the makeshift pile, followed closely by the other band members as excited fans cheered.
Once out of the truck, the band made their way through the crowd before heading inside to prepare for their performance. Following their stop at The Troubadour, Mötley Crüe is set to perform on October 9 at The Roxy and October 11 at the Whiskey a Go Go as part of the three-date tour.
The tour supports the release of their latest EP, Cancelled, which debuted on October 4 and features three new tracks: “Cancelled,” “Dogs of War,” and a cover of the Beastie Boys’ classic, “Fight for Your Right.”
In addition to their current tour, the rockers announced a Las Vegas residency scheduled to commence in March 2025 at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Nikki Sixx shared insights into the residency, stating, “We want to relook at our songs and incorporate tracks that people have been asking us to play for a long time, maybe some B-tracks, and rethink the idea of an intimate evening with the band.”
While the band aims to mix in lesser-known tracks, they remain committed to performing their greatest hits. Sixx reflected on the evolving nature of their setlist, noting, “My love of playing our catalog evolves. We are playing ‘On with the Show’ now from the first record, and it feels fresh and exciting. You can’t go wrong with ‘Girls, Girls, Girls,’ or ‘Kickstart My Heart,’ or even ‘Home Sweet Home.'”
