The 58-year-old actress showcased her striking transformation, which includes faux armpit hair and intricate tattoos, in a behind-the-scenes Instagram post on September 28.
In her caption, Berry described her character, Momma, as one of the most complex roles she has ever played. “Momma in the making 🎥,” she wrote, encouraging fans to check out the film now in theaters.
In the initial clip of the post, Berry is seen alongside makeup artist Norma Patton-Lowin, playfully examining the faux armpit hair. “So what’s happening here, Norma?” Berry inquires, to which Patton-Lowin responds with laughter, reflecting on the transformative makeup process. Berry also highlighted her altered eyebrows and realistic tattoos designed for the role.
Patton-Lowin expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thank you Halle for letting me take you to the limit for your character! I had a lot of fun working with you to create Momma.”
