Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker, has publicly shared her new romance on Instagram, marking a significant milestone two years after her husband’s death. The 33-year-old podcast host debuted her new relationship on September 22, following Tom’s passing in March 2022 from stage four glioblastoma.
In her Instagram post, Kelsey is seen smiling and wearing a floral dress while being embraced by a man in a gray suit. She captioned the photo with a simple red heart. Jay McGuiness, a former bandmate of Tom’s in The Wanted, commented, “Love is always the answer ♥️.”
Though Kelsey did not disclose the identity of her companion, reports from The Sun indicate that he is a tree surgeon named Will. In an interview, Kelsey expressed a sense of renewal, stating, “Do you know what? I’m in a better place than I was… I think I just jumped straight back into work, because ultimately, I was thinking, ‘S—, I need to provide for the kids.’ Now I feel lighter and I feel like I can see more clearly.”
Kelsey and Tom married in 2018, and she became a single mother to their daughter, Aurelia Rose, 5, and son, Bodhi Thomas, 3, after his death. Reflecting on her struggles, Kelsey previously shared an emotional Instagram message about the challenges of Father’s Day, expressing that the holiday and her life would “never be the same without” Tom. She wrote, “I need you so much right now as I’m facing big (and daily little) decisions about Rae and Bo and their futures… Here’s to celebrating you and all the Dads that deserve to be celebrated today… We hope we make you proud, Tom.”
Last year, Kelsey briefly explored the dating scene, publicly acknowledging a short-lived relationship with electrician Sean Boggans. She commented at the time, “When it’s meant to be, it’ll be, and that person will be sent by Tom… I reckon he’s picking them for me.”
Tom Parker rose to fame with The Wanted in 2009, alongside Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, McGuiness, and Nathan Sykes. The band achieved significant success in the U.S. with hits such as “Chasing the Sun” and “Glad You Came,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although the group disbanded in 2014, they reunited for a heartfelt charity performance in September 2021.
