Justin Bieber is channeling his focus on family following the recent arrest of his friend and collaborator, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The singer, who welcomed his first child, son Jack Blues, last month, is reportedly dedicated to supporting his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their new baby during this time.
A source close to Bieber, 30, told PEOPLE that he is aware of the serious allegations facing Diddy, who was arrested on September 16 amid sex trafficking and sexual assault lawsuits. However, the insider emphasized that Justin prefers not to dwell on these issues.
“He’s been in a happy bubble since baby Jack was born,” the source revealed. “He just wants to focus on being a great dad and husband.”
Diddy’s arrest occurred at a New York City hotel after he was indicted by a grand jury. The indictment, which was unsealed the following day, includes charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated that his client is “an innocent man with nothing to hide,” expressing disappointment over the decision to pursue what they believe is an unjust prosecution.
Justin announced the birth of his son on August 23, sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram featuring the newborn’s foot. He captioned it, “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER.” A source previously stated that both Justin and Hailey, 27, are “overjoyed” to be first-time parents, describing Jack as “such a miracle.”
The insider added that the pregnancy was something they had long hoped for, noting that the day they found out about Hailey’s pregnancy was “the best ever for Justin.”
