Kailyn Lowry, a former star of Teen Mom 2, has opened up about her thoughts on expanding her family further. The 32-year-old mother of seven, including six boys and one girl, recently shared her mixed feelings on the subject in an interview with E! News.
Lowry, who welcomed twins Verse and Valley with her fiancé Elijah Scott, described her internal struggle over the decision to have more children. “One day I’m like, ‘Okay, I’m definitely done.’ Yesterday, I was joking with a friend about being done, but if you asked me two days ago, Elijah and I might have been considering IVF,” she revealed.
Her children include 14-year-old Isaac, with ex Jo Rivera; 10-year-old Lincoln, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin; 7-year-old Lux and 4-year-old Creed, with former boyfriend Chris Lopez; and 1-year-old Rio, whom she shares with Scott.
Lowry expressed the bittersweet nature of deciding whether to stop having kids, noting the emotional moments tied to her twins’ growth. “I remember going through the twins’ three-month clothing and thinking, ‘This is the last time I’m ever going to do this. Are we sure we’re done?’”
She also addressed her concerns about balancing time with each child, stating, “I think I do a really good job with that now, but if I added more, I just don’t know that I would be able to give everybody individual time.”
Reflecting on her relationship with Scott, Lowry praised his ability to adapt to her chaotic family life. “I don’t know how Elijah seamlessly folded into this chaos,” she remarked. “He handles it so well. When I’m frantic, he’s cool, calm, and collected. My kids absolutely love him, which is a huge help.”
In a previous interview on the Barely Famous podcast in November 2023, Lowry stated that she felt her family was complete. “I won’t have anything missing. I’m excited to explore this motherhood journey in terms of privacy and what I want to share,” she shared, expressing both excitement and nerves about managing multiple birthday parties in the future as her children grow.
As Lowry navigates this pivotal chapter of motherhood, she remains grateful for the support of her fiancé and the joy her children bring.
