Stephen Sanchez is continuing to captivate audiences with his debut album, Angel Face, as he embarks on an innovative tour that pays homage to classic television.
The 21-year-old musician, whose album debuted in September 2023, has seen his single “Until I Found You” achieve remarkable success, including four-times platinum certification, while the album itself has earned gold status. Sanchez’s tour, currently traversing North America and running through October 29, immerses fans in a unique retro experience inspired by the golden age of TV.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Sanchez shared insights into his tour’s concept, which draws from the narrative of Angel Face. The album presents Sanchez as the Troubadour, a fictional 1950s musician whose romantic saga unfolds against a backdrop of fame, love, and eventual tragedy. The Troubadour, along with his band, the Moon Crests, rises to prominence through a series of performances on the fictional The Connie Co Show, reminiscent of The Ed Sullivan Show.
For this tour, Sanchez has transformed his performances into a live re-creation of The Connie Co Show, offering fans an immersive experience akin to attending a 1950s TV taping.
In addition to his tour, Sanchez recently performed alongside Lana Del Rey, adding another highlight to his burgeoning career. Reflecting on the success of Angel Face, Sanchez expressed enthusiasm for how the project has been received and hinted at exciting developments for his next album.
Fans of Sanchez can look forward to more of his signature blend of nostalgic charm and modern artistry as he continues to bring his visionary concept to life on stage.
