Renee Rapp Expresses Outrage After Torrential Rain Halts Reading Festival Performance

by Coco

Singer and actress Reneé Rapp didn’t mince words after her performance at the Reading Festival was abruptly cut short due to a downpour on Sunday. The 24-year-old took to Instagram to voice her frustration after heavy rain from Storm Lilian caused water to accumulate on top of the stage, eventually crashing down and drenching her band and equipment.

In a candid selfie posted from her dressing room shortly after the incident, Rapp flashed both middle fingers and wrote: “Girl, what the f*** was that.”

Rapp, who had already withdrawn from Leeds Festival earlier in the weekend due to safety concerns, was eager to deliver a memorable performance for her fans at Reading. However, as the stage turned into a makeshift waterfall, as captured in fan videos, Rapp’s frustration spilled over onstage. “We are drenched. Some of our equipment is f****d, so thank you so much, that was really f*****g helpful,” she remarked, adding, “But we really want to give you a good show.”

Despite her efforts to continue the performance, Rapp was forced to stop after a message appeared on the big screen, stating: “We need to stop the show for a few minutes and hope to restart shortly. Thank you for your patience.”

The weather-related disruption at Reading Festival came on the heels of another issue, where organizers were compelled to apologize to Lana Del Rey fans after her headline set was cut short by five minutes due to a production error.
