On social media platform X, user Alpha Kabiné criticized Durant’s connection with Drake, writing, “You hang out with Drake. Nigga You Not Tough.” The remark, aimed at belittling Durant’s toughness due to his high-profile friendship, did not go unanswered. Durant fired back succinctly with a two-word retort: “Shutup lame.”
Durant and Drake’s camaraderie is well-known, with the rapper even sporting tattoos of Durant’s jersey numbers as a testament to their close relationship. Despite the ongoing scrutiny, the friendship remains a strong facet of Durant’s personal life.

Kerr explained the decision, noting, “If Kevin had been here from Day 1, chances are he’d be starting. That was the plan coming in. But given that he missed all of our practices and came in late, we had kind of established a lineup that we liked.” Kerr further added, “When we brought him back, he was only going to play a certain amount of minutes against Serbia. And he played so well and he fit so well with that group, and it was devastating to see that group together.”
