Hip-hop fans have something to look forward to as Drake is reportedly preparing to release a new album in collaboration with Conductor Williams sometime this year.
The rumor surfaced on Ebro In the Morning, where co-host Laura Stylez hinted that the project is “coming sooner than we think.” Fellow host Peter Rosenberg added more fuel to the speculation, revealing that Drake has “a whole project’s worth of music done with Conductor Williams.” Rosenberg noted that the collaboration leans heavily into a “very hip-hoppy” sound, in contrast to some of Drake’s recent work.
Drake’s last project, For All the Dogs: Scary Hours, was released in November 2023 as a reissue of his October album under the Scary Hours franchise. The reissue included contributions from Williams, specifically on tracks like “8AM in Charlotte” and “Stories About My Brother.”
With this new album, Drake seems poised to delve deeper into a more traditional hip-hop sound, marking a potential shift from his recent musical ventures. Fans will be eagerly awaiting more details as the year progresses.
