Southport is in profound mourning following a tragic stabbing incident that claimed the lives of three young girls. The incident occurred on Hart Street at approximately 11:50 AM on Monday, July 29. The victims, identified as Bebe King, aged six; Elsie Dot Stancombe, aged seven; and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, aged nine, were attending a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga event when the tragedy struck.
Victims’ Families in Mourning
The families of the victims have been publicly grieving and are receiving support from specialized police officers. Merseyside Police have requested that the privacy of the families be respected during this difficult time.
In a heartfelt tribute, Bebe King’s family expressed their sorrow, stating, “No words can describe the devastation that has hit our family as we try to deal with the loss of our little girl Bebe.”
Alice Dasilva Aguiar’s family also shared a touching message: “Keep smiling and dancing like you love to do, our Princess. As we told you before, you will always be our princess, and no one can change that. Love from Your Hero Daddy and Mummy.”
Arrest and Investigation
A 17-year-old male from Banks has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody. Eyewitnesses have described the event as a “major incident,” with a significant police presence at the scene.
