Paris Hilton’s son is already following in his mom’s footsteps, picking up on her iconic lingo!
In an Instagram reel shared on Sunday, July 28, the 43-year-old singer and socialite revealed that her son, Phoenix Barron, has learned his first word. The adorable moment was captured as they cuddled in a hammock, likely on a boat, with Phoenix echoing his mom’s words.
“Sanasa, sanasa, sanasa, sanasa,” the 18-month-old babbled while they gently rocked back and forth. Hilton, donning a bright yellow bikini top and shorts with a beach print, accessorized with matching neon yellow sunglasses, joined in with her son in the clip.
The phrase “Sanasa” was coined by Hilton and her friend Nicole Richie on their early 2000s reality series, The Simple Life. According to Urban Dictionary, the duo would chant the word repeatedly when they were “bored or looking for fun and silly attention,” much like Hilton and her son in the video. The site’s definition notes that the term is chanted improvisationally and the final chant is “always screamed very loudly.”
Hilton expressed her delight over her son’s first word in the video’s caption. “Baby P’s First Word ‘Sanasa’ Iconic,” she wrote. “I am so obsessed and in love with my little angel baby, he’s my best friend .”
The “I’m Free” singer also reflected on the joy of being a mother of two. Alongside Phoenix, she shares daughter London Marilyn, 8 months, with her husband, Carter Reum.
“And I’m so excited to give him and his sister London the most beautiful and magical life ever!Love my #CutesieCrew #SlivingMom #sanasa,” Hilton concluded. In the comments, she continued to gush about her son, adding, “Baby P is my world! .”
This heartwarming post followed another recent Instagram video where Hilton, aboard a private jet, matched her kids in colorful white pajamas adorned with a multicolored heart pattern.
