In a disturbing new audio recording obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, is heard unleashing a torrent of verbal abuse against his wife, Australian singer Firerose, 37, and his daughter Miley Cyrus, 31. The tape supports claims from Cyrus’s ex-wife of months-long verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse.

The audio captures a heated confrontation during which Billy Ray berates Firerose, mocking and belittling her in a relentless tirade. The altercation appears to have been triggered by Billy Ray’s anger over being delayed for a performance. He lashes out, saying, “If you had just left it the fk alone, now I’m really fking p***ed, once again showing you will not listen.”
He continues, “I don’t know who the fk you think you are, but you will not listen…this ain’t about nothing this is about you being a selfish fking b*h.” Despite Firerose’s pleas for him to stop shouting, Billy Ray’s verbal assault escalates: “This would not be happening if you had just shut your fking mouth. Look what a fking mess you’ve made. What a dumb ass [you are]…’cos you have to know I will not tolerate that st. You just fked up…fk you. You know better than that. F**king idiot.”
The abuse extends beyond Firerose. In additional audio heard by DailyMail.com, Billy Ray derogatorily refers to his daughter Miley as a “devil” and a “skank.” Speaking bizarrely in the third person, he states, “Everyone knows that devil’s a skank.”
Billy Ray also directs his vitriol towards his ex-wife Tish, with whom he shares three biological children—Miley, 31, Braison, 30, and Noah, 24—and whom he never refers to by name, calling her “st” instead. In a shocking text exchange with his manager and publicist Scott Adkins, Billy Ray describes Tish as “a liar…a w*e…and a cheat. Complete skank. Scum of the earth. A fraud,” comparing her unfavorably to Lindsay Lohan’s mother, Dina.
The tumultuous relationship between Billy Ray and Firerose, who married just four months after Tish filed for divorce in 2022, has strained his relationship with Miley. The former Disney Channel star noticeably omitted Billy Ray from her Grammy Awards acceptance speech in February.
