Kanye West’s Yeezy Website Halts Orders After Dramatic $20 Price Slash

Kanye West‘s Yeezy website has abruptly ceased accepting orders following a significant price reduction to just $20 per item.

In an announcement on yeezy.com dated July 3, shoppers were informed that online purchases are no longer being processed. This development comes shortly after Kanye closed down his Yews New platform and months after drastically slashing prices across all merchandise.

The homepage of yeezy.com now displays minimal information, including the date and time, along with Kanye West’s latest statement confirming the suspension of online operations.

“YZY IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING ONLINE PURCHASES,” reads the updated message on the site, which also indicates 7,371 orders still pending, although clarity on their fulfillment status remains unclear.

Kanye West introduced the website during a Super Bowl 2024 commercial on February 11, where he personally addressed viewers from inside a luxury vehicle. He promoted the $20 pricing strategy for all items available on the site, including the previously higher-priced Yeezy Pods.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Kanye expressed his intention to democratize access to Yeezy merchandise by reducing prices. He mentioned plans to refund $180 to customers who had purchased Yeezy Pods originally priced at $200.

Following the commercial’s airing, sales surged dramatically, with Kanye reporting 294,357 orders and $19.3 million in sales within the first 24 hours.

As of now, Kanye West has not commented on the reasons behind the website’s closure or provided information regarding potential future updates or restocking plans.
