Kevin Durant and Drake first made headlines during the 2019 NBA Finals when the rapper engaged in some playful trash talk with the then-Golden State Warriors star. Despite the heated exchange, the two have since become close friends. Recently, Durant was seen celebrating Canada Day at Drake’s mansion in Toronto.

Drake, currently embroiled in a rap feud, seems to have lost some of his NBA connections. Many of his former friends, including LeBron James, were spotted at his rival Kendrick Lamar‘s concert. However, this is not the case with Kevin Durant. The forward was seen enjoying drinks, dancing, and watching fireworks at Drake’s house.

Durant appeared relaxed and at ease, engaging in casual football and vibing to music. This comfortable atmosphere can be attributed to his long-standing friendship with Drake. Their relationship extends beyond personal ties, as Durant has appeared in Drake’s music videos and even served as an executive producer on the rapper’s album “For All the Dogs – Scary Hours Edition.”

Despite making few public appearances during the offseason, Durant made the effort to travel to Canada to meet Drake. Videos of their celebration quickly went viral, delighting fans who were thrilled to see the duo together.

Durant has been vocal about his support for Drake in the ongoing rap beef. Unlike LeBron James, who has seemingly sided with Lamar, Durant has remained loyal to Drake. Back in March, following the release of Lamar’s diss track “Like That,” Drake posted a message on Instagram, hinting at the conflict. Durant showed his support by commenting, “Real sh*t.”
