Rick Ross appears to have been attacked in Vancouver, B.C., on Sunday night (June 30) following his performance at the Ignite Music Festival. Video footage circulating online suggests that Ross, also known as Rozay, was sucker-punched, sparking a brawl.

According to TMZ, Ross had just finished his set around 10:30 p.m. local time and was leaving the main stage area when the incident occurred. Footage shows Kendrick Lamar‘s track “Not Like Us” playing in the background, a song known for its diss aimed at Drake. The timing is notable given Ross’ ongoing feud with Drake, a Toronto native.

The altercation quickly escalated, with punches being thrown. Another angle of the brawl shows one of Ross’ associates being knocked unconscious and carried away from the scene. Amidst the chaos, someone can be heard shouting “white boy,” potentially referencing Ross’ nickname for Drake in his diss track “Champagne Moments.”

Ross told TMZ on Monday morning that no one in his entourage was seriously injured and expressed his eagerness to return to Vancouver, describing the city as “beautiful.” He also posted a photo on Instagram Stories, smiling in front of a private jet with the caption, “Vancouver, it was fun. Until next time.”

Billboard has reached out to representatives for Rick Ross, the Ignite Music Festival, and the Vancouver Police Department for further comments.

In response to the incident, 50 Cent quickly took to Instagram to mock Ross, posting a clip allegedly showing Ross making a “great escape” during the brawl. “LMAO THE GREAT ESCAPE! MEEKA CALL THE CHASERS, THEY ARE CHASING ME. LOL,” he captioned the post.

Although Drake was not involved in the altercation, he showed interest by liking a post on Instagram from Keep6ixSolid, which recapped Sunday’s events involving Ross.

The origins of the feud between Drake and Ross remain unclear, despite their history as close collaborators over the past 15 years. The tension escalated earlier this year when Drake dissed Ross on his track “Push Ups” in April, and Ross retaliated with “Champagne Moments,” accusing Drake of having cosmetic surgery and nicknaming him “BBL Drizzy.”
