Being in the public eye comes with undeniable advantages, but it also entails enduring constant scrutiny and judgment from both critics and admirers alike.
In a recent episode of “The Kardashians” aired last Thursday, Kylie Jenner, 26, candidly addressed the persistent criticism she faces regarding her appearance.
The entrepreneur behind Kylie Cosmetics revealed that following Paris Fashion Week in September, she received a barrage of negative comments about her look. Despite trying to adopt a more minimalist makeup style in response to feedback that she wears too much, Jenner found herself criticized for doing too little.
“It’s a no-win situation,” she reflected. “I hear nasty things about myself all the time. After a decade of this, it just wears you down.”
Expressing her frustration, Jenner questioned why online commentators feel entitled to judge her appearance.
Kendall Jenner, 28, empathized with her sister, highlighting the dehumanizing impact of constant public scrutiny on their family. She emphasized, “They don’t think we have any feelings.”
Last year, Kylie made headlines by choosing to dissolve half of her lip filler, a decision she has revisited numerous times. She lamented the cyclical nature of such discussions, admitting, “It feels like a waste of my breath.”
Despite the challenges, Kylie remains determined not to let criticism derail her focus. “I cannot let the comments get me down,” she affirmed. “I’ve got things to accomplish.”
