Coldplay and Former Manager Dave Holmes Reach Confidential Settlement in Contract Dispute

by Coco

Coldplay has resolved a legal dispute with their former manager Dave Holmes, as indicated by recent court documents.

In May, a judge approved a settlement agreement between the two parties, with the terms kept confidential. Both sides agreed to cover their own legal expenses.

The lawsuit, initially reported by Variety last year, involved Holmes—who managed the band for 22 years—filing against Coldplay members Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion over a contractual disagreement.

Holmes sought £10 million ($12 million) in unpaid commission, while Coldplay countersued for £14 million ($17 million), alleging Holmes’ mismanagement of their Music of the Spheres tour. Specific grievances included the use of oversized screens and unusable pylons.
