Richie Sambora, the legendary guitarist from Bon Jovi, recently shared details about his personal life on Billy Corgan’s podcast, The Magnificent Others. During the episode, which aired on April 2, Sambora revealed that he has been in a “wonderful relationship” with an unnamed woman for over two years.
Sambora, now 65, expressed how falling in love at 63 has been a unique experience. He praised his partner, describing her as smart, healthy, and beautiful. “It invigorates you very much,” he said, highlighting the benefits of having life experience.
The former Bon Jovi member was previously married to actress Heather Locklear from 1994 to 2007, and they have a daughter, Ava, who is now 27. He also dated guitarist Orianthi from 2014 to 2018, with whom he released music as part of the duo RSO.
Ava recently announced her engagement to Tyler Farrar in February 2024. Sambora emphasized his dedication to being a good father, stating, “When you love somebody, you love them all the way.” He left Bon Jovi in 2013 to focus on raising Ava, describing her as the “turning point” in his decision.
Since leaving the band, Sambora has pursued solo projects, including recent singles like “I Pray,” “Livin’ Alone,” and “Believe (in Miracles).” He expressed gratitude for his life, saying he feels fortunate to have navigated the challenges of rock and roll successfully.
In February, Sambora performed Bon Jovi’s hit “Livin’ on a Prayer” alongside Orianthi and Phil X at a benefit concert in California. He remains committed to his music, stating, “I’m a sincere musician and sincere artist and I will try my hardest ‘til I’m dead.”
