Meghan Trainor is opening up about her incredible weight loss transformation, putting an end to months of speculation. The singer, who has stunned fans with her leaner figure, took to social media on Monday to share the real secret behind her transformation.
The “All About That Bass” star revealed in a heartfelt Instagram post to her 18.3 million followers that she has been on a personal journey to become the healthiest and strongest version of herself, both for her family and for herself.
“No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago,” Trainor admitted in the post, adding that her goal has always been to focus on health and strength, rather than just appearance.
Recently, the 31-year-old singer has been under intense scrutiny for her appearance. Reflecting on her recent appearance at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music event, Trainor expressed her frustration. While she was honored for her music career, she was disappointed that the focus was more on her body than her achievements.
“Feeling so honored to be recognized by @billboard Women in Music as a Hitmaker—what a dream!” Trainor wrote. “But it’s a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here.”
She also touched on the struggles of being a woman in the music industry, acknowledging that such scrutiny comes with the territory.
In a candid moment, Trainor revealed the secret behind her weight loss journey. She shared that she had worked with a dietician, made significant lifestyle changes, and began exercising with a personal trainer. But the most surprising part of her transformation? She admitted to using weight loss medication to help with the process.
“Yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my second pregnancy,” she confessed, referring to the weight loss drug Ozempic, confirming earlier speculations. “And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”
