T-Pain is proving that he’s anything but broke, and he’s doing it in the most T-Pain way possible—by giving fans a lavish yacht tour! The “Buy U A Drank” rapper, 40, responded to jokes about flying commercial instead of taking a private jet with an Instagram video on March 6, showing off his extravagant yacht.
In the video, T-Pain walks fans through the high-end features of his boat, including marble statues, skylights, a full bar, and even a jacuzzi. “I guess I’m broke. Anyways, here’s the yacht I’m staying on,”
He quipped, adding in a cheeky caption, “yOu dIdNt fLY pRIvaTe???” while strolling around the boat’s impressive deck, complete with a full dining area and lounge seating.
T-Pain had earlier sparked some online chatter after mentioning that flying commercial was a far more cost-effective choice than chartering a private jet. “If it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense!!! Pass me the Biscoff cookies,” he joked in his post, referring to the cinnamon-flavored cookies served on Delta flights.
He also broke down the massive price difference, explaining that a private jet flight from Atlanta to Vegas and back would cost him a whopping $126,000. “And y’all are asking me… Do you understand what I’m saying?” T-Pain said, adding that flying private just didn’t make sense financially.
Fans quickly joked that T-Pain might be dealing with some money problems, but he quickly put those rumors to rest with his luxury yacht video. Delta Airlines even chimed in on Instagram, backing T-Pain’s stance with a playful “Make it make sense.”
Fellow celebs like Timbaland and Big Sean also showed their support, with Timbaland commenting, “Don’t do it !!!!!!!” and Big Sean dropping a “Facts.”
In 2019, T-Pain opened up about his financial journey on The Breakfast Club radio show, revealing how he’s experienced both the highs of being mega-rich and the lows of being broke. He recalled a time when he had to ask for money to buy Burger King for his kids.
“Once you give a s— about the money you’re making, you feel much better about your accomplishments,” he said. Looks like T-Pain’s back on top—and staying there.
