In a shocking turn of events at a Boosie Badazz concert in Akron, Ohio, two men were critically injured after a gunman opened fire during the rapper’s performance. The incident unfolded at the FieldHouse Lounge around 2:00 a.m. local time, as a fight broke out, and an unidentified male suspect fired multiple shots, striking two victims. The suspect quickly fled the scene, leaving chaos in his wake.
According to reports from NBC affiliate WKYC and the Akron Police Department, the victims, ages 18 and 36, were found with gunshot wounds and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. A third man, aged 25, later arrived at a nearby hospital with a graze wound. Police have not released the identities of the victims at this time.
Authorities say the gunman took advantage of a blind spot, and it’s believed that at least one of the shots was fired while Boosie, 42, was on stage performing his hit song “Wipe Me Down.” Footage shared on social media shows Boosie ducking and running off stage after a loud bang was heard.
Akron Police Deputy Chief Michael Miller spoke with TMZ, confirming the chaotic nature of the attack. Off-duty officers working security at the event quickly called for assistance.
The FieldHouse Lounge, in a statement, expressed deep regret over the incident, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic event that occurred. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize for the distress this incident has caused to our loyal customers and supporters. The safety of our guests is always our priority, and we will do everything we can to ensure something like this never happens again.”
This shooting follows an earlier incident involving Boosie at a concert in August, where a similar act of violence occurred during “The Pull Up Car Show and Music Fest,” where two men tragically lost their lives.
Fans and followers are now left wondering how such an event could mar an otherwise exciting night in the rapper’s ongoing Millennium Tour.
