Charli XCX took the spotlight at the 2025 BRIT Awards in London on March 1, scooping up five prestigious accolades, including Album of the Year for her groundbreaking album “Brat.”

The album, which sparked a cultural movement last summer, influenced fans worldwide to dance to its tracks and even caught the attention of U.S. presidential hopeful Kamala Harris’ campaign, who adopted the album’s iconic lime green cover look.

Charli, who led the nominations, was also honored with Artist of the Year and Best Dance Act. Her hit single “Guess,” featuring Billie Eilish, triumphed as Song of the Year, surpassing even the Beatles‘ “Now and Then.”

The 32-year-old singer, who had already secured her first BRIT earlier in the week for Songwriter of the Year, shared a heartfelt message after winning Album of the Year. “I’ve always felt like an outsider, especially in the British music industry, and it feels amazing to be recognized for this album,” she said.

“I want to share this with all artists who’ve ever felt they needed to compromise to be seen because, maybe it takes time, but you don’t have to compromise your vision.”

“Brat” marks Charli’s sixth album since her debut in 2013, and she mentioned that it may be her last project in this particular style, leaving fans eagerly anticipating her next move.
