If you’ve been following Beyoncé’s journey with her haircare brand, Cécred, since its February 2024 launch, you’ll know it’s been making waves. But this time, it was her long-time dance captain, Ashley Everett, who gave fans an exclusive peek inside the chic salon in Los Angeles, where she underwent a stunning hair transformation, courtesy of Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles. Tina, a former hairstylist, salon owner, and now the vice chairwoman of the brand, worked her magic on Ashley’s hair.
Earlier this week, Everett—who’s been working with Beyoncé for nearly 20 years—posted a video showcasing her glamorous silk press makeover. “Let me reintroduce myself. Address me as Ms. Ashley Cécred,” she said in the video, adding that the experience was “beautiful” and that she was “so well taken care of, just like family.”
The video captured the process, with Knowles first examining Everett’s scalp, followed by a thorough wash using a range of Cécred products. Among them was the highly praised Reconstructing Treatment Mask, one of Tina’s favorites, which helps repair damage while boosting shine and strength.
At 71, Tina didn’t just stop at a wash and treatment—she gave Everett a fabulous blowout, a trim, and expertly straightened her curls for the final touch.
At the end of the vlog, Everett proudly showed off her new look and shared behind-the-scenes footage of herself and Tina striking a pose for the camera.
“My gratitude is endless to @mstinaknowles and the entire @cecred team for the warm welcome and the wealth of knowledge you shared during my visit to the Cécred Salon! I left feeling so cared for, confident, and inspired to bring this kind of salon experience into my own home routines,” wrote Everett.
Everett, who took a break from her decades-long career with Beyoncé to focus on personal projects, made a grand return to the stage for the epic Halftime performance, “Beyoncé Bowl,” at the Ravens-Texas game on December 25.
“I couldn’t have imagined a better way to close out this year! Spending Christmas with my second family, @beyonce, felt just like home,” Everett shared on Instagram about the special moment.
On her experience performing alongside Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 13-year-old daughter, Everett expressed: “Performing my third halftime show with Beyoncé—this time alongside Blue—was such a full-circle moment. I was there when she was first introduced to the world, and now, to witness her shine on this stage? Proud aunty moment activated!”
Beyoncé also took to social media on February 19 to announce that Cécred will soon be available at Ulta Beauty, with the brand hitting stores on April 6.
