Alabama Shakes Announces Long-Awaited Reunion Tour For Summer 2025

Alabama Shakes, the Grammy-winning rock group, has officially revealed their highly anticipated reunion tour for Summer 2025. The band made the announcement on February 7, sharing the exciting news on Instagram, where they wrote, “The wait is over…we’re back!!”

The group, led by Brittany Howard (36) on vocals and guitar, along with guitarist Heath Fogg (40) and bassist Zac Cockrell (37), had been hinting at their return on social media. Earlier in the week, they posted a photo of themselves in the studio with the caption, “Working on some exciting stuff!” The band’s social media presence had been quiet for some time before this.

This tour will mark Alabama Shakes’ first live performances since 2017, when they played at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Quebec. According to a press release, the band is also working on new music.

The group went on hiatus in 2018 to pursue solo projects. Howard released her debut solo album Jaime in 2019, earning two Grammy nominations, and followed it up with What Now in 2024, which also received a Grammy nomination. Fogg released his solo LP Sun on Shade in 2020.

In a statement, Howard shared her excitement about reuniting with the band. “Last year, Heath, Zac, and I started chatting about how much fun it would be to make music together and tour again as Alabama Shakes,” she said. “This band and these songs have been such a source of joy for all of us.”

Howard also reflected on the band’s journey, noting, “It is crazy that it has been 10 years since we released Sound and Color and eight years since we played a show. But we didn’t want this to entirely be a look back. We wanted it to be as much about the future as the past. So, we have a bunch of new music that will be released soon.”

Fans can expect to hear new tracks along with the band’s classic hits like “Don’t Wanna Fight” and “Gimme All Your Love.”

The band will be joined by a variety of special guests on their 2025 tour, including Lee Fields, Caleb Elliott, Alanna Royale, Shannon & The Clams, Y La Bamba, and many more. Presale tickets for Citi cardholders will be available from February 10 to 13, and artist presale tickets can be purchased starting February 11. General tickets will be available for purchase on February 14.
