98 Degrees is taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane as they recreate the cover of their 2000 hit single “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)” to mark its 25th anniversary. On January 16, bandmates Jeff Timmons, Nick Lachey, Justin Jeffre, and Drew Lachey shared a new Instagram video, posing under a beach pier in a scene nearly identical to the original photo, which graced the UK promo CD of the single.
Drew, 48, wore a long-sleeve white shirt, and Nick, 51, donned a white T-shirt as he reached for a pier beam, echoing their look from the past. Jeffre, 51, switched his 2000 Kangol hat for a fedora-style one, while Timmons, 51, kept his signature muscle-baring tank top. The throwback post expressed gratitude for their enduring career, with the caption, “Nearly 25 years later, we’re grateful to still be here doing what we love, creating new music and performing for our fans.”
This nostalgic post arrived just a day before the release of their new single, “Got U,” scheduled for January 17. The release follows their 2022 hit, “Ain’t the Same,” and the group teased the song with a short snippet on Instagram.
In a recent interview, the group revealed how their kids view their music careers. Despite their pop star status, Timmons admitted, “Unfortunately not,” when asked if his kids think he’s cool. Nick shared, “It’s cool to be able to share what we love with our kids,” while Drew noted that his daughter, Isabella, has shown interest in following in his musical footsteps.
