JoJo Siwa is back with a fierce new attitude in her latest music video for “Choose Ur Fighter,” and she’s not holding back! On January 1, the 21-year-old Dance Moms alum dropped the highly anticipated video, in which she faces off against not one, not two, but six fictional exes in an epic battle, all set in a dramatic, video game-inspired outdoor arena.
The video kicks off with JoJo rocking the sheer catsuit she wore in her viral Karma video, stepping into a room of mirrors. Her hair is messy, and her makeup smudged—she’s not looking her usual polished self. But the mood shifts when two life-size teddy bears help her transform into a sparkling new outfit, ready for battle. As the mirrors crack, the scene opens up to a high-energy arena where the showdown takes place.
What follows is pure chaos. Siwa gets knocked down by her first opponent, but just as things seem dire, a Cleopatra-inspired character swoops in to revive her, getting her back on her feet. Then, the real action begins. JoJo faces her six “exes” in a no-holds-barred fight, taking each one down with fierce moves—roundhouse kicks, head-butts, and even a well-timed crotch strike.
Once she’s victorious, Siwa celebrates her triumph by busting out her viral Karma dance move. Yes, you guessed it—two epic foot stomps and a full-body gyration make a triumphant return, and it’s as much of a party as you’d imagine.
In the YouTube description for the video, Siwa shared her gratitude and her thoughts on the song and its message. “Thank you for watching my music video for my song CHOOSE UR FIGHTER! Whether you watched it because you’re a supporter or because you wanna hate it… either way, I love and appreciate you!” she wrote.
JoJo also offered some life advice to her fans: “My life advice is typically Karma’s A B**** but now my best advice is when you choose your lover, make sure you do it wiser, because your lover and your fighter are one in the same!”
Siwa took to Instagram to celebrate the release of the video as well, calling it “the most fun I’ve ever had while creating a project.” From coming up with the concept to the rehearsals and final edits, she said every step of the process was a challenge, but an incredibly rewarding one. “It was a challenge but SO much fun,” she added.
JoJo also shared a glimpse into her journey and the delays that led to the video’s release. “This video was actually supposed to be released last year right after Karma came out, however for reasons I shouldn’t really talk about it had to wait,” she admitted. “Not important, but what is now is that it’s officially 2025 which means I can start creating again.”
Siwa expressed her excitement about starting fresh and thanked her fans for their ongoing support throughout her 12-year career. “Thank you for sticking by my side and supporting me throughout the last 12 years of my Entertainment journey!” she said. “More to come soon, but I couldn’t wait (not even a literal day LOL) to get this video out for the world to watch!♡”
While JoJo’s on-screen persona is fierce and focused on fighting, her personal life is keeping fans intrigued as well. Recently, she was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport with rumored love interest Kath Ebbs. The two were photographed getting coffee together, and at one point, Siwa appeared to share a sweet kiss on Ebbs’ head.
This comes after Siwa’s breakup with Dakayla Wilson in November. JoJo confirmed the split, saying, “She is an amazing girl,” but added that they were both heading in different directions.
Siwa has previously been romantically linked to other figures like Kylie Prew and Avery Cyrus, and it seems like she’s keeping her options open while embracing new beginnings—both in her career and love life.
