Olivia Rodrigo is making a significant impact with her charitable efforts, donating over $2 million from the proceeds of her GUTS World Tour to global women’s causes. The donation, announced on December 17, 2024, will be distributed through her Fund 4 Good, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls. The funds will benefit over 10 organizations worldwide that focus on issues such as girls’ education, reproductive rights, and the prevention of gender-based violence.
The sizable donation will support a wide array of organizations dedicated to improving the lives of women across the globe. Among the recipients are the National Network of Abortion Funds in the U.S., Women’s Shelters Canada, Women Against Violence Europe, The Pratthanadee Foundation in Thailand, and many others, including those in Hong Kong, Japan, and the Philippines. Rodrigo, who has been on the road since February 2024, has made it a point to support these initiatives as she travels the world for her tour.
During her final stop in the Philippines, the vampire artist shared her deep connection to the country and its people. “This is such a special milestone for me to not only be visiting the Philippines for the first time but performing here for my fans,” Rodrigo told Billboard. “I’m so proud of my Filipino heritage, so being able to bring this experience to the Philippines means the world to me.”
Rodrigo, 21, first revealed her commitment to supporting women’s rights in October 2023, when she spoke to PEOPLE about the creation of Fund 4 Good. “I’m very excited, and I think it’s going to be a very fulfilling and hopefully productive experience,” she shared. “Lots of the money is going to abortion funds to help provide some resources to people who are in need of reproductive healthcare.”
Throughout the GUTS World Tour, Rodrigo has performed 95 sold-out shows in over 60 cities across more than 20 countries. The tour will wrap up in 2025 with headlining stadium shows in Brazil and Mexico.
Rodrigo’s efforts offstage have made just as much of an impression as her musical achievements. By using her platform to raise awareness and contribute to causes that affect women globally, she continues to inspire fans and give back to the communities that have supported her rise to stardom.
