Beyoncé has just made history once again! On December 17, 2024, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that the iconic singer now holds the most RIAA certified titles of any female artist, with a total of 103 certifications.
Her latest album, Cowboy Carter, earned Platinum status, while the hit single “Texas Hold ‘Em” has now been certified 2x Platinum. Additionally, her track “16 Carriages” received a Gold certification, and her groundbreaking album Renaissance reached 2x Platinum.
Beyoncé’s impressive RIAA tally isn’t limited to her recent works. Her iconic duets with husband Jay-Z, “Drunk in Love” (2013) and “Crazy in Love” (2003), have both achieved the prestigious 8x Platinum certification, underscoring the enduring power of her collaborations.
In the RIAA certification system, Gold signifies 500,000 units sold, Platinum is awarded for 1 million units, and multi-Platinum certifications come at each additional million-unit milestone. For albums or songs that hit 10 million copies sold, the coveted Diamond certification is granted.
RIAA President and COO Michele Ballantyne expressed her excitement about Beyoncé’s achievement, stating, “We are so excited to recognize the incredible talent, hard work, and creative spirit reflected across diverse genres. Congratulations on this crowning milestone, Beyoncé, Parkwood Entertainment, Columbia Records—and we see you, BeyHive, streaming on repeat!”
The announcement of this milestone follows closely behind Taylor Swift‘s achievement of the highest certification level for her 6x-Platinum album The Tortured Poets Department.
This achievement adds to the growing list of accolades for the 32-time Grammy Award winner, who continues to break records in the music industry. In fact, just days before this RIAA announcement, Beyoncé also became the most-nominated artist in Grammy history with a staggering total of 99 nominations.
Her success this year is undeniable. She received 11 Grammy nominations in 2024, including recognition for “16 Carriages” (Best Country Solo Performance), her collaboration with Miley Cyrus, “II MOST WANTED” (Best Country Duo/Group Performance), and the hit single “Texas Hold ‘Em” (Best Country Song).
The BeyHive’s dedication is undeniable, as they continue to support their queen in every milestone she reaches. This year alone, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter and her other works have solidified her status as one of the most influential and powerful musicians in the world.
Before the Grammy Awards on February 2, 2025, Beyoncé will perform during the Christmas Day NFL Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens Halftime Show, streamed live on Netflix. The star’s continued dominance in both music and pop culture shows no signs of slowing down.
