Taylor Swift is preparing for the final curtain call of her record-breaking Eras Tour, and she’s full of gratitude for the fans who made it all possible.
During her second Vancouver show at BC Place Stadium on December 7, the 14-time Grammy winner took a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible ride. “This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful, and wonderful tour I’ve ever done, and that’s all because of you,” she told the crowd, her voice brimming with appreciation.
Swift shared how the tour’s success is deeply tied to the unique bond she shares with her Swifties. “There’s a reason this is my longest tour ever. I’ve never played this many shows before, and it’s because I never wanted it to end,” she said. “You’ve made this experience so special for all of us on stage.”
She went on to mention the friendship bracelets phenomenon, an unexpected but meaningful tradition sparked by a simple lyric in her song. “I wrote a line that said, ‘make the friendship bracelets,’ and when I got to the first show, you were all making them, trading them, and forging friendships. That’s wild, and that’s just one example of how you’ve made this tour unforgettable.”
Having started the Eras Tour in March 2023 in Arizona, Taylor Swift has since graced stages across five continents, treating fans to a three-hour setlist showcasing songs from her entire discography. True to her innovative nature, Swift has kept the setlist fresh by performing secret songs at each show, often taking to the guitar or piano for surprise tracks that weren’t part of the main lineup.
As the tour nears its final weekend, Swift is already taking home some major accolades. She topped Spotify Wrapped, Apple Music, and Amazon Music’s year-end lists, securing her place as the top artist of 2024 with The Tortured Poets Department as the top album.
For Swift and her fans, the end of the Eras Tour is bittersweet—but the memories are here to stay.
