Adele has officially bid adieu to her two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, marking the end of her celebrated “Weekends With Adele” concert series. The Grammy-winning powerhouse, 36, gave an emotional farewell to her fans during the final performance on Saturday, Nov. 24, sharing heartfelt words for her loved ones and reflecting on her time in Las Vegas.
As Adele wrapped up the final show, she spoke candidly about the experience that allowed her to stay close to her son, Angelo, while still performing for her fans. Through tearful words, she revealed the emotional weight of the residency and how it enabled her to balance family life while pursuing her passion.
“To my son, I chose to do a residency maybe because I f—— hate touring,” Adele said, her voice cracking with emotion. “But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal.” She added, “Thank you for being patient for me.”
The emotional evening also included a special nod to Celine Dion, who had attended Adele’s show on Oct. 26. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer’s presence moved Adele to tears, as she recounted the profound impact Dion had on her career. “I cried for a whole week,” Adele admitted, recalling the emotional embrace between the two divas. “It was just such a full-circle moment for me.”
While Adele expressed gratitude for her residency, she also revealed her uncertainty about the future. “I don’t know when I’m next going to perform again,” she admitted. “I’m actually s—— myself about what I am going to do.” Despite her plans being up in the air, she assured her fans that she would return to the stage, though she doesn’t yet know when. “Of course, I’ll be back. The only thing I’m good at is singing.”
Adele’s residency, which began in November 2022, also marked her 100th “Weekends with Adele” show. As she steps away from the spotlight, the singer has promised fans that, while she’s taking a break for now, her music career will undoubtedly continue.
