Mark Zuckerberg's Hilarious Anniversary Surprise: Serenades Wife Priscilla With T-Pain's "Get Low"

In a delightful and unexpected anniversary surprise, Mark Zuckerberg serenaded his wife, Priscilla Chan, with a personalized version of the iconic song “Get Low” by Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz—featuring none other than T-Pain himself. The Facebook founder, known for his tech achievements, displayed a humorous side with this unique gift, blending nostalgia, love, and a touch of humor for their special day.

On Wednesday, November 13, Zuckerberg took to Instagram to share the heartwarming story behind the track. In his post, he explained that the song holds special meaning to him and Priscilla, as it was the track that played when they first met at a college party back in 2003, while both were students at Harvard University.

Zuckerberg reminisced about that night: “So every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary.” In this special year, he decided to take things a step further by collaborating with his longtime friend, T-Pain, to create a unique, personalized rendition of the 2002 hit. “This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece,” Zuckerberg wrote in the post, which also included a picture of the couple enjoying their time in the studio together.

The accompanying Instagram carousel featured behind-the-scenes shots of Zuckerberg and T-Pain working on the track, along with a snapshot of the cover art and, of course, a sweet throwback picture of Zuckerberg and Priscilla from their early days.

Priscilla, always appreciative of her husband’s romantic gestures, expressed her love and gratitude in the comments section of Zuckerberg’s post: “Can’t get quite as low anymore but more in love and grateful for that love than ever. Love you MZ.”

Zuckerberg, ever the playful romantic, also shared a series of Instagram Stories capturing Priscilla’s reaction when she first heard the song. The initial video shows her bursting into laughter, and the following clips capture her cheekily calling the gesture “so romantic.” In the final video, Zuckerberg can be heard teasingly asking, “Is that the most romantic thing I’ve ever done?” Priscilla, laughing, responds with a heartfelt answer: “It’s so romantic. Twenty-one years later, I can’t get quite as low. But it brings back a lot of fun memories.”

Zuckerberg and Priscilla’s love story dates back to their college years at Harvard, where they first crossed paths. Over two decades later, their bond remains as strong as ever. The couple married in a surprise outdoor ceremony in Palo Alto, California, in May 2012, and their family has since grown with the arrival of their three children: Maxima (born in 2015), August (born in 2017), and Aurelia (born in 2023).

Beyond the anniversary serenade, this isn’t Zuckerberg’s first extravagant gesture to show his love for his wife. In October 2023, he unveiled another surprise: a custom Porsche minivan, specially adapted for Priscilla with a three-row design and sliding rear doors, features not yet offered by the car company.

For this year’s anniversary, however, it was all about the music—an unforgettable moment marking the couple’s enduring love and shared memories. Through humor, nostalgia, and a little help from T-Pain, Zuckerberg created a gift that no one could have predicted but that Priscilla will likely cherish for years to come.
