Rock legend Lenny Kravitz made a thrilling return to the stage on Friday, October 18, launching his highly anticipated Las Vegas residency in unforgettable style. At 60, the “Fly Away” singer proved he still knows how to wow a crowd during the first of his five shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM.
Kravitz strutted onto the stage in signature fashion, donning flared jeans, oversized sunglasses, and a shimmering halter tank that left little to the imagination, flaunting his impressively toned physique. His electrifying performance captivated the audience, and he even jumped into the crowd, creating an intimate connection with fans.
Documenting the event on Instagram, Kravitz shared a clip of himself ripping through a guitar solo, captioning it, “Thank you, Las Vegas Night 1. Let’s do it again tonight.”
Kravitz’s residency comes in conjunction with his latest album, Blue Electric Light, released earlier this year. He’s described the Vegas shows as a “celebration of life, music, love, and rock ‘n’ roll,” marking a warm-up for his international tour, set to begin in February 2025. “Las Vegas has always been a part of entertainment history,” Kravitz told PEOPLE, noting that it’s the perfect place to launch his tour.
Despite the intense demands of a residency, Kravitz has no plans to alter his routine. “I train five days a week, I lift weights, I do cardio, I eat well, and I try to rest when I can,” he said. “It’s just part of life — it’s not even a question.”
Fans were treated to a mix of Kravitz’s iconic hits alongside fresh tracks from Blue Electric Light, his 12th studio album. Reflecting on the record, Kravitz explained that while it has no overarching concept, it revisits a sound reminiscent of his early days. He shared at the 2024 Grammys that Blue Electric Light feels like “the album I didn’t make in high school before I made my first album, Let Love Rule.”
Kravitz’s residency continues with three more nights scheduled for October 23, 25, and 26, offering fans a few more chances to experience the rock star’s enduring energy and stage presence up close.
