Gigi Hadid Predicts Taylor Swift Will Skip Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Gigi Hadid has revealed that Taylor Swift is likely to miss the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to enjoy a cozy evening with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight while backstage on October 15, Hadid expressed her belief that Swift would prefer to spend quality time at home rather than attending the star-studded event in New York City.

“I think if they have one more night before he goes back they’ll probably be cozy on the couch,” Hadid commented in a video shared on ET’s Instagram. “That’s just my guess. But she will also be supporting; I can feel it.”

Hadid also disclosed that she incorporated a surprise element into her runway performance that was inspired by Swift. “There’s an aspect to it that I was trained to do by Taylor on her tour,” she explained. “In one of her rehearsals, she was like, ‘I’m gonna show you how we do this.’ Did that, and now I’m using it tonight.”

Swift and Kelce have been relishing a brief trip to New York City before resuming their respective work commitments. Kelce’s bye week is ending as Swift prepares to kick off the final leg of her Eras Tour in Miami.

The couple enjoyed a double date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds on October 11, and on October 14, they were spotted at Yankee Stadium for the American League Championship game, both sporting matching black outfits and caps.

Hadid, a long-time friend of Swift, made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in 2015 and returned for the 2016 show in Paris. She missed the 2017 show but was back in 2018 alongside her sister, Bella.

In August, Hadid announced the show’s return in collaboration with Victoria’s Secret veteran Tyra Banks. The brand had shared its commitment to inclusivity when it announced the return of the runway show in May, stating, “We’ve read the comments and heard you.”

The 2024 fashion show lineup features models including Imaan Hammam, Candice Swanepoel, Grace Elizabeth, Devyn Garcia, Paloma Elsesser, Taylor Hill, and Mayowa Nicholas. Additionally, Adriana Lima and Barbara Palvin confirmed their participation on social media. After facing criticism for its lack of diversity, the show was canceled in 2019 and returned as a streamed nontraditional event in 2023 titled The Tour, featuring global locations including Barcelona, London, Tokyo, Lagos, and Bogotá.
