Former NFL star Jason Kelce made a memorable appearance once again as he joined fans tailgating at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the New Orleans Saints on October 7. The retired football player, who garnered attention last January for his shirtless antics at a playoff game, embraced the festivities while keeping his shirt on this time.
Ahead of the game, Kelce, 36, was spotted being driven around the parking lot in a golf cart adorned with Chiefs logos and flags. One fan shared a photo and video on X (formerly Twitter) showing Kelce interacting with supporters, high-fiving them, and leading chants of “Chiefs!” while being filmed by ESPN crew members. His wife, Kylie Kelce, was also present, enjoying the vibrant tailgating atmosphere.
This appearance followed Kelce’s viral moment during the Chiefs’ playoff game against the Buffalo Bills in January, when he ripped off his shirt after his brother, Travis Kelce, scored a touchdown. The former Philadelphia Eagles center then jumped into the crowd to celebrate with Bills fans, contributing to the Chiefs’ thrilling 27-24 victory.
Before the game, Jason reached out to his followers on X, seeking tips for an enjoyable tailgating experience at Arrowhead Stadium. “Headed into the Kansas City tailgate scene before the game today,” he posted, asking for recommendations on must-visit spots in the lot, particularly lots C and D. He humorously inquired if there were any local “tailgate Shamans” who could guide him through the experience.
Reflecting on his previous escapades, Kylie joked on Good Morning America that Jason was eager to embrace the full experience of being a Bills fan during their playoff matchup. “He desperately wanted to go through a table,” she shared, recalling it as a top priority of his day, although he ultimately didn’t get the chance.
The Chiefs’ game against the Saints kicked off at 8:15 p.m. ET, live on ESPN, with Kelce’s spirited presence undoubtedly adding to the excitement of the evening.
