Dwayne Johnson has repeatedly turned down invitations to appear on the popular YouTube series “Hot Ones,” hosted by Sean Evans. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Evans revealed that he has pursued the 52-year-old actor for years, coming close to securing his participation at one point. However, Johnson had a unique condition: he requested grilled salmon strips instead of the show’s signature chicken wings.
Evans noted, “That’s as close as we’ve gotten. And then it fell through.” “Hot Ones” features celebrity guests tackling increasingly spicy wings while answering interview questions, attracting numerous stars such as Ariana Grande, Paul Rudd, and Tyra Banks.
Previously, Evans expressed his dream of hosting Howard Stern, despite uncertainty about whether the iconic radio host would be interested in enduring the spicy challenge. On a personal note, Evans mentioned that wings have become less appealing to him outside of work, as he prefers lighter meals like juice and salads when off the clock.
