In an announcement made on September 19, Netflix and Carpenter shared an exciting post on Instagram, stating, “This is really gonna jingle your bells.” The special marks Carpenter’s first holiday-themed show and promises a mix of unexpected duets and comedic guests.
The promotional clip features snow falling as Carpenter makes her entrance in a dazzling red sequined bodysuit, playfully asking, “Expecting someone else?” while holiday music plays in the background.
The variety show will showcase musical performances, including tracks from Carpenter’s 2023 holiday EP, fruitcake, alongside other classic holiday songs. In addition to musical guests, viewers can expect comedic moments and surprises throughout the special.
Expressing her enthusiasm, the Girl Meets World star stated, “The holidays have always been so special to me. I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show—infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”
This announcement follows news from Christina Aguilera, who revealed that Carpenter will join her and Machine Gun Kelly in a duet to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Aguilera’s self-titled debut album. This collaboration, part of the Spotify Anniversaries series, is set to release on September 23.
