Social Media Star Embraces Bold Red Look Following Bryan’s Public Apology Over Controversial Tweet
Brianna LaPaglia, known for her vibrant online persona, turned heads on Thursday, Sept. 19, by posting a series of red-themed photos on Instagram. The 25-year-old social media influencer, and host of the BFFs podcast, shared images showcasing her love for the color red, from a sleek red dress to red Mary Jane shoes and even a red pool table.
Among the gallery was a standout selfie of LaPaglia sporting a bright red baseball cap emblazoned with the slogan, “Make America Sexy Again” — a playful twist on former President Donald Trump‘s “Make America Great Again” hats. Her post was simply captioned, “I think I like red,” fueling speculation that the timing of the post might be linked to her boyfriend Zach Bryan’s recent social media controversy involving Taylor Swift.
The post came just hours after Bryan, a 28-year-old country music star, issued a public apology following backlash from a tweet comparing Kanye West to Taylor Swift. In the since-deleted tweet, Bryan referenced the Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL team Swift’s rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce plays for, writing, “eagles > chiefs. Kanye > Taylor,” on Sept. 17. The tweet quickly sparked outrage, particularly from Swift’s dedicated fanbase, prompting Bryan to remove his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Despite deleting the tweet, Bryan continued engaging with his fans via Instagram, posting several stories featuring songs by Kanye West, including “Good Life” and “Ghost Town.” However, as criticism mounted, the singer ultimately broke his silence, using Instagram Stories to clarify his intentions and apologize to Swift and her fans.
“For the record, guys, I wasn’t coming for Taylor the other night,” Bryan wrote in his apology. “I was drunkenly comparing two records, and it came out wrong. I know there’s a lot of controversy surrounding Kanye, but I was speaking purely from a musical standpoint.”
He added, “I love Taylor’s music and I hope you all know I’m human and make dumb tweets sometimes. Hopefully, I can explain this to her one day. Twitter gets me in trouble way too often, and I think it’s best I stay off it for now. To any Taylor fans I upset or disappointed, I’m truly sorry. Love you guys, and I’m doing my best!”
While LaPaglia did not directly address Bryan’s comments or the fallout in her Instagram post, her followers were quick to link the red theme to Swift’s iconic Red album, with many leaving playful comments. “You should [like red], it’s a great album,” one user remarked, while another chimed in, “That’s Taylor Swift’s favorite color too!”
Bryan’s apology appears to have resonated with fans, but the singer’s tweet has added a new layer of drama in the ongoing saga involving Swift, Kelce, and NFL rivalries.
LaPaglia, meanwhile, seems to be embracing the spotlight with her bold red-themed Instagram display, standing by her signature style amid the unfolding controversy.
