Stars Gather for the Animated Prequel’s Big Debut
Hollywood’s brightest stars lit up New York City for the premiere of Transformers One, the latest animated installment in the iconic Transformers franchise. Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Keegan-Michael Key, and other A-listers made an appearance on the red carpet, drawing excitement for the highly anticipated prequel set to hit theaters this fall.
Directed by Josh Cooley, Transformers One features an all-star cast, including Scarlett Johansson and Steve Buscemi. The animated film takes audiences back to the origin story of two of the franchise’s most iconic characters: Optimus Prime and Megatron. Once allies, the film explores how their friendship shattered, transforming them into bitter enemies and altering the fate of their home planet, Cybertron, forever.
This marks the first animated feature in the Transformers series since 1986’s Transformers: The Movie and serves as a prequel to the live-action movie saga that began with Michael Bay’s 2007 Transformers blockbuster.
Fans and families alike are eager to see this new chapter unfold, promising action-packed scenes and emotional depth, all while offering a fresh perspective on the origins of the beloved Transformers universe.
