Charli XCX and Troye Sivan are turning up the heat with their latest collaboration. On September 12, the pop duo dropped a steamy remix of Charli’s hit “Talk Talk” from her album Brat, just days before their Sweat Tour kicks off in Detroit. This revamped version features the duo exchanging flirty lines and a special cameo by global pop sensation Dua Lipa, who brings a multilingual twist to the track.
The remix opens with Dua Lipa, 29, speaking in both Spanish and French, setting the tone for the sultry vibe of the track. “Hay una fiesta en mi casa, vengan. Será muy divertido,” she says, which translates to, “There’s a party at my house, come. It will be very fun.” This playful intro is followed by Sivan’s suggestive lyrics, where he makes plans for a passionate encounter in Amsterdam, singing, “I wanna fly you out to Amsterdam / I got a good hotel to f— you in.”
Charli XCX, 32, maintains many of her original lyrics from the album version but ups the ante with an explicit new verse: “We’re still obsessed like we just met / And when you f— me, it’s crazy,” she teases, adding even more intensity to the track.
Dua Lipa bookends the remix, closing with, “J’ai perdu mon téléphone mais tu sais quoi? Ça valait la peine parce que c’était une soirée de fou,” which translates to, “I lost my phone, but you know what? It was worth it because it was an insane party.”
Along with the remix release, Charli revealed on Instagram a reimagined version of her Brat album, titled Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, set to drop on October 11. She also shared the remix’s cover art, shot by photographer Terrence O’Connor, who has collaborated with Charli on previous projects.
As fans gear up for the Sweat Tour, which features both Charli and Troye Sivan, this latest track is sure to keep the summer party vibe going strong. With its bold lyrics and infectious energy, the “Talk Talk” remix is setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable tour.
