In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Rodriguez, 40, expressed her deep admiration for Baldoni, who played Rafael Solano opposite her character, Jane Villanueva. “Justin is a sweet, sweet soul. Man, he’s a sweetie pie,” Rodriguez said. “That guy is — that’s my brother forever. Forever and ever.”
Rodriguez noted that Baldoni, 40, is the cast member she maintains the closest contact with. “Hands down, Justin is the person I stay in touch with the most,” she said. While she also keeps in touch with other cast members like Yael Grobglas, who portrayed Petra, and Brett Dier, who played Michael, Rodriguez emphasized the special bond she shares with Baldoni.
Reflecting on the past decade, Rodriguez admitted to feeling nostalgic. “I feel old. That’s the first thing that comes to mind,” she said. “The second thing is: I want to do a reunion.” She reminisced about the unique and impactful nature of the show, which earned her a Golden Globe in 2015.
