Conor Kennedy, the son of presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a former flame of Taylor Swift, has announced his engagement to Brazilian singer Giulia Be.
On Monday, Giulia shared the joyous news on Instagram, posting a series of photos and a video of the couple celebrating their engagement at home. The images capture them in a candid moment, surrounded by candles and full of affection. In her video message, Giulia expressed her excitement, saying, “I literally can’t believe this. I’m dreaming. I love that we are both sweaty and after work and gross and disgusting. It’s perfect.”
Sources confirm that the 30-year-old Kennedy, whose mother was the late Mary Richardson Kennedy and whose grandfather is the iconic Robert F. Kennedy, proposed with a Tiffany & Co. engagement ring. The couple began their relationship in February 2022, and Giulia, whose full name is Giulia Bourguignon Marinho, relocated from Rio de Janeiro to Los Angeles to be with Conor.
Giulia, 24, is an accomplished artist with a Latin Grammy nomination and several Portuguese chart-toppers to her name. She also starred in the Netflix film “Depois do Universo.” Currently, she is focusing on her acting and singing career, while Conor is pursuing his career in law after studying at Georgetown University.
In a surprising twist, Conor revealed in October 2022 that he had secretly joined Ukraine’s International Legion, driven by his deep concern for the situation in Ukraine. He took to Instagram to share his motivation, stating, “I wanted to help. When I heard about Ukraine’s International Legion, I knew I was going, and I went to the embassy to enlist the next day.”
Conor previously made headlines for his brief relationship with Taylor Swift in the summer of 2012, which included visits to the Kennedy family’s Cape Cod home. Swift later purchased a nearby property for $4.9 million. Conor also had a relationship with Ava Dash, daughter of businessman Damon Dash.
