A year after her divorce from Jim Toth, Reese Witherspoon is reportedly exploring a new chapter in her love life. The 48-year-old actress and entrepreneur has been seen on several dates in New York City with Oliver Haarmann, a private equity financier.
“They were introduced through mutual friends and quickly hit it off,” a source exclusively reveals to Life & Style. “Reese wasn’t looking for romance, but she has definitely found it.”
Witherspoon, a mother of three and media mogul, seems to have found common ground with Haarmann, a German founding partner of an investment firm. The two share a mutual interest in business and finance. “She enjoys discussing investment strategies, and Oliver’s knowledge in the field is impressive,” the insider shares, noting that Witherspoon has decided to steer clear of dating fellow actors. “Their attraction developed from there.”
Interestingly, Haarmann has his own connections to the entertainment world—his ex, Mala Gaonkar, is currently dating David Byrne, the former lead singer of Talking Heads.
For now, Witherspoon is taking things slow. “She’s enjoying the attention and is curious to see where this new relationship might lead,” the source adds.
