Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign‘s eagerly awaited joint album, “Vultures 2,” has sparked controversy and mixed reviews following its release on August 2, 2024. The album, first announced in January 2024, encountered several delays and has been criticized not only for its content but also for legal issues surrounding song samples.

Fans were excited about the 16-track project, but the response has been divided. Some listeners enjoyed the album, while others voiced their dissatisfaction, leading Kanye West to address the situation on his Yeezy website. West assured fans that the album would be updated with revised tracks in real time.

The controversy surrounding “Vultures 2” extends beyond its reception. Geoff Barrow of the band Portishead has accused the artists of using his band’s song “Machine Gun” without proper authorization. Additionally, artist Swsh has claimed that they were not compensated for a sample featured on the album.

In a recent interview with Internet personality Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, Ty Dolla $ign hinted at the album’s release, stating, “Vultures 2 is on the way, man. It’s coming soon. Any day now.”

The album’s launch was further complicated by mixing issues, leading Kanye West to update fans on his Yeezy website about the ongoing problems and the real-time updates to the album.

Amidst these controversies and delays, “Vultures 2” is rumored to feature a posthumous collaboration with the late rapper Takeoff on the track “Let Me Chill Out,” which also includes contributions from Rich The Kid and NBA YoungBoy.
