July 26, 2024 – Josh Hall has made his first public statement since filing for divorce from HGTV star Christina Hall. The former Austin-based real estate agent posted a contemplative photo of himself walking in the woods on Instagram, accompanied only by a praying hands emoji. Dressed in a Lululemon t-shirt, a backwards baseball cap, and a gold chain, Hall appeared to be taking a moment for reflection.
Court documents obtained by PEOPLE reveal that Hall filed for divorce on July 15, citing “irreconcilable differences” and requesting spousal support from Christina Hall, star of Christina on the Coast. In response, Christina Hall filed her own legal documents on July 24, detailing the division of assets and opposing any spousal support.
Christina Hall’s previous marriages include a long-term union with Flip or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa, which lasted from 2009 to 2018, and a brief marriage to British car expert Ant Anstead, finalized in June 2021. Christina shares two children with El Moussa—daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8—and a younger son, Hudson, 4, with Anstead.
Josh Hall was also previously married to Chelsea, whom he wed in August 2016, though the end of their marriage remains unclear.
The couple began their relationship in March 2021, making it public a few months later. Christina Hall shared her feelings on social media about the scrutiny of their relationship, stating, “I may be a bit crazy and I’m definitely not perfect but I will never live my life based on other people’s judgments or opinions.”
Josh and Christina became engaged in September 2021 and were married in a private ceremony in October 2021, with a second celebration over Labor Day weekend 2022 in Maui. Christina has since removed their wedding photos from her Instagram.
Josh appeared on Christina’s HGTV shows and was expected to join the cast of The Flip Off, a new series featuring Christina, Tarek El Moussa, and Tarek’s new wife Heather Rae El Moussa. Although the show was announced in May, sources indicate Christina has resumed filming without Josh, and HGTV has yet to comment on his involvement in the series.
