In a recent cover story for W Magazine’s Special Edition Summer Issue, the 27-year-old model and Rhode founder revealed that hiring a chef has been her one significant luxury during this special time.
Describing herself as a “foodie,” Bieber expressed how this choice has provided her with much-needed relaxation and a touch of extravagance. Despite the comforts of having gourmet meals prepared at home, she admits her pregnancy has not been without its challenges.
“I probably could have hidden it until the end,” Bieber shared, referencing her journey as she awaits her first child with husband Justin Bieber, 30. She confessed the stress of concealing her pregnancy took a toll. “I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
The model explained that she managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps for a considerable time due to her relatively small bump early on. “I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which was when I announced it. I was able to wear big jackets and stuff.”
The couple publicly shared their baby news in May via Instagram, with a representative confirming to PEOPLE that Hailey was just over six months pregnant at the time. The announcement was marked by a video from their vow renewal ceremony, where Hailey showcased her growing bump in a long, lacy white dress and veil. The accompanying photos featured Justin Bieber embracing her from behind, highlighting their shared joy with matching wedding rings.
