It’s official: Blackpink‘s Lisa has been announced as the latest brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
The K-pop star, known for her magnetic presence, set the fashion world abuzz when she attended Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2024 ready-to-wear show in March. Her appearances at Paris Fashion Week have always drawn throngs of adoring fans. Since 2020, she had been the face of Celine, another luxury brand under the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton conglomerate.

Lisa, whose full name is Lalisa Manobal, even graced the runway for Celine’s Summer 2022 show in Nice, France. Now, she joins Louis Vuitton amid a burgeoning solo career after Blackpink’s four members chose not to renew their individual contracts with longtime management company YG Entertainment last December. However, Blackpink continues to collaborate with YG for group activities.
In her latest venture, Manobal has founded her own management company, Lloud Co., and released a new single, “Rockstar,” in partnership with RCA Records. The track debuted at number four on the Billboard Global 200 chart, marking her third top-10 hit following her 2021 singles “Lalisa” and “Money.” “Rockstar” also clinched the top spot on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. ranking and has amassed over 120 million views on YouTube since its release on June 28.
In addition to her music success, Manobal is set to make her major screen debut in season three of HBO’s acclaimed series “The White Lotus,” which will be set in Thailand.
“Lisa is a trendsetter who approaches her craft with fearless authenticity,” Louis Vuitton said in a statement, praising her “bold sartorial choices” that resonate with the vision of Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women’s collections at Vuitton. “Driven and daring, her achievements embody the core values of Louis Vuitton — a passion for creativity and a commitment to excellence.”
For her debut appearance at a Louis Vuitton show, Manobal made a striking impression in black leather shorts, black hold-up stockings, a ruffled crop top, and an intricately embroidered frock coat from Ghesquière’s 18th-century-inspired Spring 2018 collection. Her look was completed with a Pic Trunk camera bag and LV Knot pumps.
“Nicolas Ghesquière’s identity is strongly reflected in his designs, making Louis Vuitton pieces unique,” Manobal said. “I’m thrilled to see how his ideas come to life.”
“I am delighted to welcome Lisa as a house ambassador,” Ghesquière said. “Her daring spirit and charisma are incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey.”
Manobal joins an impressive roster of Louis Vuitton female brand ambassadors, including Zendaya, Emma Stone, Deepika Padukone, Hoyeon, and Ana de Armas. Other K-pop stars affiliated with Louis Vuitton include Stray Kids‘ Felix, BTS‘s J-Hope, Hyein from NewJeans, and South Korean boy band Riize.
With 104 million followers on Instagram, Manobal is also an ambassador for Roman jeweler Bulgari and MAC Cosmetics, among others. The Thai music sensation, celebrated for her singing, rapping, and dancing, has cemented her status as a fashion icon. In 2021, she served on the jury for the prestigious French fashion prize ANDAM, and last year, she performed at Paris cabaret Crazy Horse, igniting widespread debate on social media platforms in China.
