Reign Disick, the 9-year-old son of Kourtney Kardashian and ex Scott Disick, stole the spotlight on Wednesday’s episode of The Kardashians. During a family vacation in Australia, while Travis Barker’s band, Blink-182, toured the country, Reign humorously called out his mother and her husband for their extreme public displays of affection (PDA).
The trip to Australia was an opportunity for Kourtney to spend quality time with her children, Reign and Penelope, as her eldest child, Mason, stayed home with his father, Scott. Kourtney explained, “I am in Australia, we made it, we’ve been having the best time. Travis is touring different cities in Australia for about a week. Because I was on bed rest before and having a newborn at home, I haven’t really had any outings with my other kids, so I really wanted to stay in Sydney.” She added, “Mason is home with his dad, which makes me really sad, but I’m making the most of every second.”
Though the couple was accompanied by their newborn son Rocky, he remained out of sight for the episode, allowing Kourtney to focus on her other children while Rocky slept.
Reign’s personality shone through as he, Penelope, and Kourtney discussed the highlights and lowlights of their trip. After Penelope expressed her discomfort with the prevalence of sharks in Australia, Reign nonchalantly responded, “Who cares? 1%, we’re gonna get bit. I’ll take the risk!” When asked if he loved Australia, he cheekily replied, “Sure,” before winking at the camera.
Kourtney, in a confessional, remarked on Reign’s sense of humor, comparing him to a “mini Jim Carrey” and noting, “I’m starting to get a lot of vibes like his dad, I think he’s starting to get that sense of humor. I’m like, just what we need.”
Later in the episode, Travis rejoined the family in Sydney after nine days on tour, marking the longest period the couple had been apart since Rocky’s birth. During a boat ride with Reign and Penelope, Kourtney and Travis indulged in their trademark PDA, prompting Reign to exclaim, “Mom, stop making out with Travis, bro! Didn’t you just have a baby? Don’t get another one this quick!”
The couple laughed off Reign’s comment, with Kourtney later defending their behavior in a confessional. “I think it’s a beautiful thing to see parents, especially ones that just had a new baby, be affectionate and loving,” she explained. “There’s nothing wrong with that.”
As Kourtney and Travis continued to canoodle, Reign quipped, “Are you giving her a hickey now?!” Kourtney clarified, “No, it’s a gentle kiss on my neck. I just missed him.” Reign, looking into the camera, responded, “Uhhh, right.”
The episode concluded with the family meeting up with Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and his wife, Skye, as they enjoyed a private day at an amusement park. Kourtney reflected on the special nature of the trip, while Travis was seen having a great time with his stepchildren.
